We are pleased to confirm that Kate Morefield is now on board as North America Director at MultiSport Research. Based in Dallas, Texas, Morefield teams up with MultiSport Research founder Gary Roethenbaugh, who based in Bristol, UK. She is helping to support the company’s expanding international client base, and guide a number of new projects and product developments.
Established in 2010, MultiSport Research (MSR) specialises in market insight and analysis services for the global endurance sport industry. Its services – which include market quantification and consumer research – are independent, vigorously researched & strictly confidential.
MSR founder and Managing Director Gary Roethenbaugh said, “Finding the right person to partner with on projects is never easy; and it’s fantastic to have Kate on board. She brings a track record of consulting and marketing experience to the newly created North America Director role. She’s also no stranger to endurance sports.”
Roethenbaugh continued, “Kate is a multi-IRONMAN finisher who understands what endurance athletes go through. Her 9x IRONMAN finishes beat my 2x IRONMAN events hands down!
“This bringing together of insight expertise and having a gut-feel for the motivations and mind-set of the endurance athlete are vital qualities for delivering deep insights and real value on client projects. We’ve already hit the ground running on a number of initiatives, and are looking forward to helping more clients ride the endurance sport growth wave!”
Kate Morefield is a passionate IRONMAN triathlete (9 M-Dot finishes so far; more to come!). She has 25 years of business experience – providing business strategy, marketing and research expertise to drive company growth. She has a previously worked as a freelance business consultant; and prior to that worked for companies such as The Coca-Cola Company and Mizuno.
“I truly have found my dream job!” Kate Morefield said, “I am so excited to be part of MultiSport Research. As an athlete, I have always followed and studied all things endurance sport related; and now being able to combine that passion along with my background and love of market research, data analysis and business marketing all-into-one is exhilarating.”
She continued, “On a personal note, I have completed 9 IRONMAN events (with 2 more scheduled for 2018!) and countless other races. I am not a podium finisher, but I always give it my all; and love the experience and all that the endurance sports community offers. I have four school aged kids who are all also athletes and runners/triathletes.
“I want them, and the next generation of endurance athletes, to be able experience all that the industry has to offer. Helping the endurance sport industry continue its growth path is so enriching therefore, on a personal and professional level.”
MSR is currently working on a comprehensive endurance sport social analytics tool that will be a ‘must-have’ for all endurance sports companies looking to grow their brand, understand their competitors, and connect with their consumers/athletes. Stayed tuned – coming soon!
