As summer draws to a close, the endurance sport industry has seen a flurry of activity. MultiSport Research's sister site, endurance.biz, has tracked a number of interesting developments.
LimeLight Sports events acquisition
LimeLight Sports Group has acquired Virgin Sport’s portfolio of events that includes the Asics London 10k, Oxford Half Marathon and Hackney Half Marathon.
The Virgin Sport events join the existing family of events managed by the ‘LimeLight Sports Club’, which includes Etape Caledonia, Blenheim Triathlon, London Triathlon and London Duathlon.

£11.5m investment for Wattbike
Piper, a specialist investor in consumer branded businesses, is investing £11.5 million into Wattbike – the smart indoor bike brand.
Piper’s £11.5 million investment (subject to FCA approval) will help the business to continue growth in the UK and further penetrate the USA and Asia, capitalising on the global rise in connected at home fitness and cycling.

New RaceNation event features
RaceNation, the integrated event registration, fundraising and event day app, has released new results & timings features for users to submit online results. The new feature, available to the 2,000+ UK events on the RaceNation platform, will allow users to submit their race times via four online modes: Scanning, Timing, Manual and Strava.
